The LINGUA LITUANICA Language and Culture institute specializes in introducing foreigners to Lithuania’s culture, people and language. 

From August 1 to 13, 2016, LINGUA LITUANICA will hold a two-week Lithuanian language Summer Course. Separate groups for beginner, intermediate, and advanced students are planned. The Course runs for 4-6 academic hours per day, with Language practice for 44 hours and Lithuanian history, literature and ethnology for 6 hours. The Course is based on the communicative style, which combines speaking, listening, reading and writing, along with elements of traditional suggestopedia and transmission teaching styles.

Students will participate in interesting activities to develop their communication skills and enjoy a diverse cultural program: excursions around Lithuania, visiting 3 capitals of Lithuania: Kernavė (1279), Trakai (1321), Vilnius (1322),  ethno cultural events, visiting bee museum, KGB museum, tasting Traditional Lithuanian dishes, baking Traditional Lithuanian cake Šakotis. There  will also be a chance to interact with Lithuanian photographers and painters at the ‘Gallery’ located in LINGUA LITUANICA institute.

At the same time on 1-12 of August LINGUA LITUANICA will hold Lithuanian Language Course for Children, so all family is welcome to participate in Summer Course. Separate groups for Adults and Children.

Languages of instruction: English, Russian, French, Italian, Lithuanian.

Certification and price: students will get a Lithuanian language Summer Course Certificate. The Summer course for Adults (50 acad. hours) costs 450 EUR, Children Course (20 acad. hours) - 174 EUR.

Registration fee: Summer Course for adults 116 EUR, Children Course 50 EUR. Registration fee is included in a course price.

Accommodation is not included in the course's price. But we will recommend hotel or the guest house. We also offer accommodation in Lithuanian families. One week price with breakfast 184 EUR. If you prefer a short-term apartment rental in the center of Vilnius we will kindly help you to find a comfortable apartment for an additional fee of  60 EUR.

How to get there?

From the bus or train station. Bus station and train station are in one place, so from there you have to use public transport. With 1G and 53 buses you have to travel to bus stop Vinco Kudirkos aikštė. From there just a few minutes walking to the Institute.

From the Airport. From the airport to bus stop Juozo Tumo-Vaišganto you should travel with 3G bus, and from there just a few minutes walking to the Institute. Or you can choose another option, go to the bus station and train station with 1 or 2 buses.

Meals is not included in a course price. But There is a lot of places to go for a tasty meal around LINGUA LITUANICA. Gedimino avenue is full of restaurants, pizzerias, cafes, bars and pubs..
