October – LINGUA LITUANICA month of kindness!

Even a drop in the ocean may become a powerful wave!

LINGUA LITUANICA invites colleagues, lecturers, students and friends to join the month of kindness by donating some money to Animal Care Organization Tautmilės prieglaudėlė. During last two years all together we collected 3233 Lt. Your kindness can save a life!

Money can be donated in LINGUA LITUANICA institute (Gedimino av. 26, Vilnius). In November LINGUA LITUANICA together with all friends and students will visit Animal Care Organization and donate the collected money.

Animal Care Organization Tautmilės prieglaudėlė

First, our team started its activities in a small garage but this winter is already the third one that we will spend in a cozy little shelter at Rasų str. 39, Vilnius. Objectives:

to reduce the number of homeless animals in our country by humane methods;
to find new owners for animals from whole Lithuania who need that;
to spread ideas of love and compassion for animals;
to encourage the society of Lithuania to be interested in animal care;
to stop violent, improper treatment of animals in Lithuania;
to develop an effective animal rescue system;
to organize and carry out awareness-raising programmes concerning our activities and animal care in Lithuania;
to promote animal sterilization;

At the moment we have 180 animals in our cozy little shelter.
