Radio and television help to fix and develop the norms of the correct speech, form the attitude of society towards the prestigious speech. Therefore, it is very important the conversational speech of the Mass Media employees to be perfect. Actual problems of the public speech accentuation are analyzed in the article. 

The article discusses the issue of the prestige of Lithuanian. After recognition of Lithuanian as the state language, one of the principal objectives in language policy has been to make impact on the evolution of Lithuanian so that the society perceive the value of the mother tongue and were not disillusioned with its abilities, as stated in the Guidelines on the State Language Policy 2003-2008. 

The purpose of this article is to introduce articles published on one of the world’s most popular internet search engines www.google. com websites dialectical literature and literature dialectically, to discuss their topics and to compare them with topics of the analogous Italian website letteratura dialettale. 

It is often admitted in discussions on current situation of the Lithuanian language that the volume of non-standard (especially spoken) language is increasing, and urban variations of speech are developing. The dullness of mother tongue or even its insufficiency is highly noticeable in the speech of current intellectuals and youth: after graduating the secondary or higher school, youngsters do not have a feeling of what is inherent in his language, and what is not.
